What is the Plot of Better Than Us?
The story takes place in 2029 at a time when androids were serving people in various positions and even employed many menial jobs. China's one-child policy has led to a critical famine in women getting married, so a Chinese engineer designed an advanced robot called Arisa. He was programmed to be a mother to the children he adopted and a wife to his fathers. He did not obey Arisa Asimov's Three Laws for Robots, and his sole purpose was to have a family for himself and to protect them under all circumstances. However, its creator dies and Arisa is sold to the Russian robot company CRONOS. Arisa kills a man who tries to use him as a sex robot in CRONOS and then escapes. Later, he meets little Sonia (Vita Kornienko), Arisa binds Sonia as her authorized user and family member, and is now the guardian of the child and her family.
